College Football Week 1 Poll - Florida Gators Rank #1 in Poll and BYU up 11 Spots
September 8, 2009 - BYU moved to No. 9 and Alabama received 2 first place votes in the first regular season AP Top 25 College Football ranking. Florida is still the dominate #1 with 56 of 60 first place votes. Alabama convinced two voters to get their first place vote after their 34-24 victory over Virginia Tech. Online sportsbooks hammered bettors in week 1 of college football with a trend that started on Thursday with Boise State beating Oregon with most of the money on Oregon. The BYU upset and Georgia not covering as a +5.5 dog hammered the betting public.
