Oakland Athletics Gio Gonzalez - L (1-0, 1.17 WHIP, 3.00 ERA) will face Seattle Mariners Jason Vargas - L (0-1, 1.69 WHIP, 8.44 ERA). Mariners busted out of a 20 inning scoreless drought with a 3 run jack by Milton Bradley who has dropped to 6th in the lineup to alleviate the pressure on him in the clean up spot. Still not liking this Mariners offense especially now with Felipe Lopez batting cleanup who is more of singles hitter with a horrible OBP. Lopez had a career year for HRs and 90+ RBIs last year but I am fading him this year. Two lefties take to the mound at Safeco which is still dropping about .5 ERA for pitchers. Mariners now 3-0 Under against lefties. Oakland batting .171 against lefties. Taking the under again for 2 pop gun offenses in Seattle.
