The Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers come into the season as popular media pick to go deep into the NFL playoffs. With the media attention comes public money and -3 chalk in a traditionally tough road trip to Philadelphia. Kevin Kolb has not looked great in the preseason running the offense and Vick is Vick who is one headline away from being in jail again. More importantly, the defense took a step back last year to 19th in scoring defense and the offensive line does not seem to be better this year. Philly will blitz the Packers and Rodgers has shown that he is at that elite level in reading the Blitz packages and will be able to burn the average Eagles secondary.
GB’s offense in the preseason they will be a top 5 offense in the NFL this year. Green Bay’s defense was 1st in rush defense in 2009 and will force Kolb to beat them through the air. Dom Caper’s 3-4 defense in the second year of their scheme should be even better this year. Eat the road chalk -3 Packers.
