Washington Redskins Betting | 2009 NFL Betting Guide
The 2009 Washington Redskins enter the 10th year of Dan Synder's ownership hoping that they can build on the 6th ranked scoring defense in 2008 that added $100M DT Albert Haynesworth. The offense that went 2-6 down the stretch and saw drives stall behind a battered offensive line is on the hot seat in game 1. Washington is a public Under Total team in 2009 unless Jason Campbell turns into Warren Moon.

2009 Washington Redskins Offensive Outlook
The leagues oldest offensive line in 2008, has gotten younger by letting go G Pete Kendall and trading T Jon Jansen. Heyer brings some youth at RT and LG Dockery comes back to Washington after a two year exile in Buffalo. The Redskins had the 8th ranked rushing offense in 2008 but pass protection was a problem. QB Jason Campbell is under the microscope and is a question mark with Pro Bowl RB Clinton Portis, FB Mike Seller and TE Chris Cooley. The offense pieces seem to be there for success but the Skins offense has looked horrible in the preseason playing against some tough defenses.
2009 Washington Redskins Defensive Outlook
The defensive line was solid in 2008 with the 8th ranked rush defense and should be better with DT big Albert eating space in the middle. The line only generated 24 sacks for 4th fewest in the league. 1st pick Brian Orakpo is being turned into an OLB from DE and is expected to bring heat on the edges with Albert H eating up blockers on the interior. The LBs of London Fletcher and Rocky MacIntosh are solid and consistent. The secondary was 7th in pass defense despite a fearsome pass rush. The same solid core returns with CB DeAngelo Hall, Carlos Rogers, S LaRon Landry and Chris Horton and should be a top ten passing defense.
