Cincinnati has fired offensive coordinator Ken Zampes and replaced him with quarterback coach Bill Lazor. Defensively, they couldn’t stop the run as Houston gained 168 yards on 35 carries. In 2 games this season, the defensive has allowed their opponent to rush for 325 yards. They did not force any Texan turnovers but they did sack DeShaun Watson 3 times and had 6 tackles for losses.
Aaron Rodgers had a mixed day for Green Bay as he completed 33 of his 50 passes for 343 yards and 2 touchdowns. However, he also did throw an interception and lost a fumble. His favorite target was Devante Adams who had 99 yards and a touchdown on 8 receptions. Ty Montgomery also had a nice day catching 6 passes for 75 yards and a touchdown. Montgomery also led the team with 10 carries for 35 yards and touchdown. Defensively, they struggled against the run as Atlanta gained 141 yards on 27 carries which is an average of 5.2 yards per carry. They did not force a turnover but they did sack Matt Ryan 3 times and had 6 tackles for losses.
Green Bay has averaged 20 points per game so far this season while Cincinnati has averaged 4.5. Green Bay has home field advantage and are favored by 9 points in this game. The Bengals have gone 0-2 against the spread this season while the Packers are 1-1. Andy Dalton set a career high last year with a completion rate of 65 percent but is ranked lowest in the league so far this year with a 47 percent completion rate. Green Bay’s defense looked great in the season opening 13-9 win versus Seattle but took a step back in last week’s loss to the Falcons. Cincinnati will be looking to get their first win and score their first touchdown of the season.
