The 1-2 Indianapolis Colts will travel to Seattle to take on the 1-2 Seahawks in this Sunday night matchup. Last week provided different fates as Indianapolis won its first game of the season while the Seahawks lost despite their best offensive performance this year. The Colts hung on to beat the Cleveland Browns at home 31-28. Wide receiver Kamar Aiken suffered a concussion and has not yet been cleared to play this week. Seattle lost 33-27 to the Tennessee Titans but their 27 points was six more than the 21 they scored in the first 2 games combined. Wide receiver Doug Baldwin suffered a groin injury in the 4th quarter and his status is questionable for this game.

Jacoby Brisset had his best start yet filling in for the injured Andrew Luck as the offense only averaged 11 points in the first 2 games. He finished with a quarterback rating of 94.3 as he completed 17 of his 24 passes for 259 yards, 1 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. His favorite target was T.Y. Hilton who had 7 catches for 153 yards and a touchdown. Frank Gore led the team with 57 rushing yards and a touchdown on 25 carries. Defensively, they intercepted DeShone Kizer three times but allowed the Browns to gain 343 yards. 7 different Cleveland receivers had receptions that gained at least 10 yards. They also struggled against the rush allowing 111 yards on just 21 carries, which is an average of 5.3 yards per run.

Despite the loss, Russell Wilson had a very productive day last week. He completed 29 of his 49 passes for 373 yards, 4 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. His favorite target was Doug Baldwin and he was putting up numbers before leaving the game with the groin injury. He had 10 catches for 105 yards and a touchdown and the team will be without one of its best offensive weapons is if he isn’t cleared to play this week. As a team they rushed for 69 yards with Chris Carson leading the way with 34 on 11 carries. The defense struggled allowing 420 yards including 195 on the ground. They did not force a turnover, did not sack Marcus Mariota but did have 6 tackles for losses. They had only allowed 26 points combined over the first 2 games.

With this game at Century Link Field, Seattle is favored by 13 points, despite being winless against the spread this season. The Colts have gone 2-1 against the spread but their defense has really struggled so far allowing their opponents to score an average of 30 points per game. The Seahawks lone victory this season came at home in a 12-9 victory over the winless San Francisco 49ers in week 2. Tight End Jimmy Graham is listed as questionable with an ankle injury but didn’t have any setbacks this week in practice. Indianapolis played well last week and Brisset has gotten better each week.
