They sacked Andy Dalton 4 times and intercepted him twice. On the season, the Steelers defense has allowed their opponents to average 16.6 points and 284 yards allowed per game.

Detroit committed 5 turnovers against the Saints including 3 interceptions from Matthew Stafford. Defensively, they forced 3 turnovers including 2 interceptions of Drew Brees. They struggled against the run as New Orleans gained 193 yards on 37 carries, which is an average of 5.2 yards per carry. On the season, the Lions defense has allowed their opponents to average 354 yards and 25 points per game.

Detroit will have home field advantage in this game and are 3-point underdogs in this game. They have gone 3-3 against the spread so far this season including 1-2 at home. The Steelers have gone 4-3 against the spread this season including 2-2 on the road. Pittsburgh has benched wide receiver Martavis Bryant for this game over his social media usage this week where he aired his frustrations. Detroit’s offense offensive and defensive lines have struggled this year as they are 28th in the league with just 3.5 yards per carry and are tied for 4th most in the NFL with 23 sacks allowed.
