The Cleveland Browns offense will be solid again with depth and talent at most positions. WR Donte' Stallworth was signed as a FA that will provide WR depth for a frequently injured Joe Jurevicius and spacing for WR Braylon Edwards. Cleveland had the league's 8th best offense last year and will return much of the same talent. QB Anderson is playing on a 1 year $10M deal and will have plenty of motivation for another big year.
2008 will see the Cleveland Browns focusing on improving their defense with a team that allowed a 3rd worst 359 yards per game in 2007. The Browns had only 28 sacks last year tied for 6th worst and allowed 129 yard per game rushing for 6th worst in the league. The Browns defense does not look like it has upgraded much from last year by bringing in under performing DT Shaun Rogers to improve the pass rush. DE Corey Williams may improve the run defense but he is going from Green Bay's 4-3 defense to Cleveland's 3-4. Both Williams and Rogers are being relied upon to improve the pass rush. The LB corps does not look like it has improved with an aging LB Willie McGinest past his prime. The CB positions are questionable after starting CB Daven Holly blew out a knee in the off season and will miss 2008.
The Cleveland Browns have one of the toughest schedules in 2008. The 2008 Browns will play 10 teams with an .500 over record in 2007 which includes 7 teams that made the playoffs.
