Eagles vs. Rams Week 15 Betting Odds

The 6-7 Philadelphia Eagles will travel to Los Angeles to take on the 11-2 Rams in this week’s Sunday night matchup. While both teams lost last week, the Eagles defeat was way more significant. Philadelphia was defeated by their rivals the Dallas Cowboys 29-23 in overtime. The loss dropped them 2 games behind the Cowboys in the NFC East with just 3 games to play. This game should not even have been this close as the Cowboys outgained the Eagles 576 yards to 256 yards as they ran 93 plays compared to the 48 run by Philadelphia. Los Angeles’s mighty offense was completely shut down by the Chicago Bears as they lost 15-6 on the road. They are still dominating the NFC West as they still have a 3 game lead over the second place Seattle Seahawks.

The Eagles defense just couldn’t stop Dak Prescott and the Cowboys offense. Prescott threw for 455 yards and the team rushed for an additional 142 yards. They did sack Prescott three times and forced 3 turnovers with 2 interceptions and recovered fumble. For the season, the Eagles defense has allowed their opponents to average 22.7 points and 402 yards per game. Offensively, Carson Wentz finished with a quarterback rating of 120.3 as he completed 22 of 32 passes for 228 yards, 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. His favorite target was Alshon Jeffrey who had 6 receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown. They really struggled running the ball gaining just 34 yards on 14 carries which is an average of 2.4 yards per rush. Their offense did not even get a chance in Overtime as Dallas scored a touchdown on their first drive.

The Rams powerful offense gained just 232 yards against the Bears and committed 4 turnovers. It started with Jared Goff who had his worst game of the season finishing with a quarterback rating of 6. He completed 20 of 44 passes for 180 yards, 0 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. His favorite target was Robert Woods who had 7 catches for 61 yards. Todd Gurley even had trouble gaining yards as he totaled just 28 yards on 11 carries. The offense was significantly off their usual pace as they have averaged 32.7 points and 436 yards per game this season. Defensively, they intercepted Mitchell Trubisky 3 times and sacked him once. They struggled against the run as the Bears gained 194 yards on 35 carries which is an average of 5.5 yards per rush.

The Rams will have home field advantage and are favored by 9.5 points. They have gone 5-6-2 against the spread including 2-2-2 at home. The Eagles have gone 4-9 against the spread this season including 2-4 on the road. This game is much more important for Philadelphia who will be playing for their playoff lives. Los Angeles has yet to lose a game at home all season and will be looking to get their offense back on track after last week’s terrible performance.
